Another year has come and gone. I really need to be better about posting. A lot has happened this last year. It's hard to think back one whole year, so I'm sure I'll miss some of what has happened. I think the biggest event this last year was being sealed as a family in the Rexburg Temple in September. Porter was also baptized the same day. What an awesome day.

Summer seemed to fly by and the kids went back to school in August. Porter is in the 3rd grade, Addison in the 1st and Cache is in preschool. I can't believe they are this big. I'm feeling older all the time. Porter played flag football this fall and had a great season. His team took second in the "Super Bowl". They did great. Porter and Addy also started piano lessons this fall. They are doing well and had their first recital a couple of weeks ago.

The kids are so excited for Christmas and all that it brings with it. Porter keeps asking how many days left and sighs when I tell him there are more days than he wants it to be. I can remember the excitement of the gifts under the tree, the parties to go to, the caroling, playing in the snow and all the other Christmas time activities. There's nothing like being a kid at Christmas.

It's time for another semi-annual post, although I'm probably a little late. Summer went by way too fast for my liking and I'm not really ready for the snow or Holidays yet. They are right around the corner. Recap on the last six months:

This summer we went camping, but of course not enough. We had a good time. Josh and Porter decided to try dirtbikes. They have a lot of fun on them. They still make me a little nervous. Josh had some vacation and took the older kids camping for a week. I had to work, which was a blessing in disguise. I'm not sure I would have lasted for a whole week. The kids had a blast. Porter and Addie both played soccer this year. It was hectic having to go to two different games which sometimes conflicted. We made it though. Porter then played flag football this fall. He had a lot of fun and made quite a few good plays and touchdowns. We were very proud of him.

Porter and Addie are both in school this year. Porter's in second grade and Addie's in kindergarten. Both are having fun. Life is crazy when school is in session. All the papers and homework coming home each night. And I only have two in school. I can only imagine what it's going to be like with four in school. I can hardly wait!!

We have fun on Halloween. Porter was a football player, Addie a ballerina and princess, Cache a dragon and Gunner a spider. They all looked so cute in their costumes. They were also very proud of the pumpkins we carved.

We are excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas and can hardly wait to see everyone at our holiday parties. We're so thankful we live close to family and can see them often. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.

Well, it's time for the semi-annual update. I finally downloaded my camera from the holidays and thought I would post some of them. Time has flown by and Gunner will be the big 1 this coming Tuesday, February 5th. I can't believe my "baby" is already a year old. He's already a little "big" boy. He started walking about a month ago and the stairs are the next big milestone to pass. We're getting close on that one. Cache is working on potty training. I think this will be a slow process, unfortunately. Addie is busy with preschool and is working on her Valentines for the kids in her class. Porter is back to school after a much loved Christmas break and working hard at math and reading. In March his class is putting on a play call the Three Piggy Opera. He plays the part of the bricks peddler. We're looking forward to seeing him in his first play. This video is Cache's Christmas wish.

So I thought it was time to at least post something. This fall has been crazy. Once we finished with soccer, school started. Porter is in the first grade. His teacher is Mrs. Leonard. He now gets to get on the bus at home and eat school lunch. Yuck. :) He has also started flag football. And loves to make touchdowns. Porter also had his birthday the 9th of August. He turned six years old. Addie started preschool. She loves it and wishes it was everyday. Grandma helps out by taking our turn at carpooling and takes the kids in the "big RED bus", which is the old van. The kids love it. Cache is a normal two year old and into everything. He is his dad's sidekick. Anything dad likes, Cache likes. Gunner is a hefty 7 month old and learning to crawl. He can get around and into things now. We're going to have to get the gates to the stairs out pretty soon. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He's a happy kid and we are having to much fun with him. Hunting season is fast upon us, which means Josh will be gone most of October. He just went fishing to Montana last weekend and caught 27 fish. Luckily he didn't bring them home. What would I have done with that many fish? I'm still doing the same old thing. Work, kids, clean. But what else do you do? Life keeps us busy. Yesterday I went up to mom and dads to help can peaches. Addie, Gunner and I were there almost the whole day. Levi and Kasandra came a little later than us to help and we were able to do 70 quarts of peaches. It seems like a lot to me. It was fun though. Thanks to Heidi, who moved home last week, I didn't have to worry about Gunner for most of the day. Thanks Heidi. We are so excited to have her home. We hope she doesn't move too soon. The kids love seeing her.

So, I'm trying to figure out the whole blogging thing. There's not a whole lot too exciting going in our crazy lives. Porter has been in soccer this last month and will be finishing the season next week. In August and September he will be doing flag football. That will be interesting, but fun. School will be starting the 20th of August. Porter will be in the 1st grade. I can't believe he is in school. Porter's birthday is on the 9th of August and will be 6 years old. He's excited for his birthday. Addison will be starting preschool this year. She is so excited. She loves to learn and be with other kids. I think she will love it. We went school shopping this last weekend in Park City and bought her some clothes for her to start school. She loves the attention and doing the girl stuff with mom and grandma. Cache is our entertainer and is always making us laugh. He has such a big personality. He has been a little accident prone lately to add to the silliness. It's a good thing kids heal so fast. Gunner is growing like a BIG weed. He's already 6 months old and he's huge. I swear he weighs 20 pounds already. Grandma Furness thinks he weighs more than Cache. I wouldn't be surprised. He loves to be held and smiles all the time. Especially when getting attention. He loves to eat and lets you know when it's time to fill the belly. He has been such a fun addition to the family.
This summer we have gone camping a few times and yard work the rest of the time. I think that has been about it. Where has the summer gone??
